About
Law is more than a set of rules as it carries its own culture and memory. This course provides tools for understanding the interaction between legal discourses and the past. It analyses how law (re)constructs the past and certain episodes of history which are still present such as Nazism and Francoism. The course focuses on the cultural and political dimension of legal experiences related with the past. The approach is therefore multidisciplinary, combining anthropology, sociology and legal theory.
