About
Students will understand the processes of institutional and economic change in transition from a centrally-planned to a market economy of post-communist countries. They will learn about the major economic challenges faced by countries, such as liberalisation, stabilisation, privatisation and financial sector reforms. The historical perspective on transition will be complemented by a discussion of current issues in transition
economies and a discussion of the relevance of the transition experience to the wider issue of economic development.
The course don't have prerequisites.
